Welcome to the Symbol Trust, dedicated to promoting effective and innovative solutions to the communications needs of children and adults with learning disabilities. Our driving ambition is to see a more equitable society where language enrichment can unlock the true potential in people with special needs.

Our projects are undertaken by specialist speech and language therapists who deliver ‘hands on’ work to individuals either in small groups or in the classroom. At national level, we run training events for parents, carers and educationalists and we also write and publish articles for charities and healthcare professionals.
